The South Bay Homebirth Collective/Haumea Birth was conceived several years ago as a way to bring the home birth community together through education and support. They are a group of six independent, licensed midwives, along with doulas, and other complimentary practitioners who have come together to offer holistic home birth midwifery, well-woman [sic] care, doula services and support for expectant and new families. Some of their practitioners also offer childbirth preparation classes specifically geared toward home birth.
