Placenta Capsules $300
Placentas capsules are made with dried, finely ground placenta. They are commonly consumed during the postpartum, but can also be saved for other times of transition, such as puberty or menopause. Placenta capsules can help increased iron levels, production of breastmilk, your general energy and the speed of your recovery time after birth. It can also decrease the likelihood of postpartum mood disorders, insomnia or sleep disorders. There are two types of preparation methods: Traditional Chinese Method (TCM) and Raw Foods Method (RFM). Kindly note, I will only be offering the steamed, Traditional Chinese Method of preparation during COVID-19 pandemic.
Traditional Chinese Method (Steamed)
TCM: This method utilizes steam as a way to process the placenta before dehydration. It is first washed, then steamed with select herbs and transferred to a dehydrator to be dried for 24+ hours at a high heat. Due to allergens, I will only steam with herbs unless special arrangements are coordinated with you ahead of time. TCM is recommended if you prefer warm foods when healing or recovering. This is the required preparation method for when Group B Strep test results are positive to prevent reintroducing the Group B Strep bacteria into your body. This method is recommended if you have anxiety or concerns about postpartum mood disorders.
Raw Foods Method (Raw)
RFM: This method bypasses the steaming process prior to dehydration. The placenta is washed, then placed directly into the dehydrator. This method is recommended if you prefer cold foods when healing or recovering. RFM is much stronger than TCM and will also yield the highest amount of capsules. This method is a good option for those who already follow a raw foods diet or who are particularly interested in the freshest hormonal benefits of placenta encapsulation. There are some situations where raw encapsulation would not be ideal, such as a history of anxiety, insomnia or hyperthyroidism.
Yield: Your placenta will yield anywhere from 90-150 capsules depending on the size of your placenta and the size of your baby at birth.
Dosage: Placental capsules are a gentle, mild dose of placenta taken several times per day initially then decreased as your postpartum weeks pass.
Storage: If stored properly in the provided BPA free container, your leftover capsules are good indefinitely. I highly recommend placing your capsules in the freezer to ensure the safest short- and long-term storage. The potency will decrease as time passes but these can be safely stored for many years, making a suitable remedy during puberty and menopause. Always check to be sure your capsules are dry before consuming.

This product is used later in the postpartum period such as when your baby begins to eat solid foods or when you return to work. The tincture needs to steep in a dark cabinet for six weeks after production to ensure proper potency. Offering a gentler effect than capsules, this can be used during times of transition or stress including puberty and menopause. Placenta tincture can help increased iron levels, production of breastmilk and general energy. It can also decrease the likelihood of postpartum mood disorders, insomnia or sleep disorders.
